Where did my photo go after I tapped Save?
Saving copies the item into your iOS Photos library and takes it out of the Poof inbox, because the decision has been made. You'll find it in Photos straight away. Tap Undo on the toast if it wasn't what you meant.
I deleted something by mistake
Open the grid, then the clock icon — Recently Removed. Deleted items wait there for seven days by default and can be restored with a swipe. You can change the period, or turn it off entirely, in Settings.
Poof doesn't appear in the share sheet
Tap More at the end of the app row in the share sheet and enable Poof. If it still doesn't appear, restart your iPhone — iOS sometimes needs that before it indexes a newly installed extension.
I forgot my PIN
Tap Forgot PIN? on the lock screen. iOS will ask for your device passcode, and you can then set a new PIN. Nothing is erased.
Does Poof encrypt my photos?
No, and we'd rather be clear about it. The PIN keeps the app closed to someone holding your phone, but the files sit in normal app storage: they're included in your iPhone backup, and deleting Poof deletes them. Keep anything irreplaceable in your photo library. See the privacy policy for the detail.
What happens to items in an album?
Nothing, ever, automatically. Filing something into an album means you've decided to keep it — album items are exempt from auto-expiry and from the Recently Removed countdown. They go only when you delete them.
Will my photos sync between devices?
No. Poof has no cloud and no network code at all. Everything stays on the device it was captured on.
